I had an idea I wanted to walk thru - where I am having a short conversation with someone that is completely AI. But - aside from telling you NOW that they are AI, I do not want it to be clear or obvious that the person I am speaking with, is not genuinely there in the frame with me.

This will require more than just a render in Runway, or dropping in some clip from Kling 2.5. This will require some forethought and planning.

1 • Conversation Starters: Claude

So I started by going to Claude - to write a simple 4 part conversation.

I want to create a short video conversation between myself (Brian) and an AI character. This will be a video I will create using a variety of AI and traditional tools. I will record myself speaking to the camera. I will take a photo of myself in secondary location and have the AI recreate the image into something totally different. This created AI character will speak - maybe even start the conversation that I will be responding to.

Can you help me craft a starting thing for the AI to say... something for me to respond, then a wrap up - revealing the AI isn’t real. I want something thematic that feels Hollywood level convo. Any inspiration? Let’s do (1) AI opens, (2) My response, (3) AI response, and (4) My wrap up

Claude gave me 3 decent options - and for this I will be using Options 2.

Option 2: “The Collaborator” (Creative/Meta)

AI opens: “You know what’s wild, Brian? You and I just made something together that neither of us could have made alone.”

Your response: “Yeah, but let’s be honest—you’re not really ‘here.’ You’re a tool I’m using. An incredibly sophisticated tool, but still just a tool.”

AI response: “A tool that’s having a conversation with you right now. When does the tool become the collaborator?”

Your wrap-up: “Maybe when people can’t tell the difference anymore. You’re not real—but this? What we just created? That’s real. And that’s the future we’re building, one conversation at a time.”

I like this a lot. Now, I need a model to represent the AI character.

Claude gave me 4 options: (1) The Unexpected Mirror, (2) The Artistic Counterpoint, (3) The Androgynous Future, and (4) The Quiet Presence (Claude’s preference).
