Continuation from the last post…
1. Direction of Viewing
The orientation from which the subject is observed, affecting the viewer’s perception and the subject’s portrayal.
• Centered View: The camera faces the subject head-on, typically capturing a symmetrical and balanced view, often used for portraits and direct engagement with the viewer.
• Side Profile Shot: Captures the subject from the side, showcasing only one side of their face or body. Commonly used to focus on details of the subject’s profile, emphasizing their silhouette.
• Back View: The camera is positioned behind the subject, showing their back. This creates a sense of mystery or distance, often making the viewer feel like an observer rather than directly engaging with the subject.
• 3/4 Profile View: The subject is turned slightly toward the camera, revealing a partial view of their face or body at a three-quarter angle. This perspective is commonly used for portraits as it provides depth and a sense of personality.
• Back View 3/4 Profile Shot: A combination where the subject is seen from behind but at a slight angle, showing part of their profile. This shot can imply movement or provide a sense of intimacy while still retaining some mystery.
2. Shot Types
Describes how the subject fills the frame, determining the viewer’s focus and emotional connection with the subject.
