Reductive prompting is a technique where you incrementally simplify or "strip down" prompts to isolate the core visual or conceptual elements driving image generation. It's the opposite of additive prompting (which builds complexity by layering instructions). This is especially useful for understanding how a model interprets certain words or styles and for refining control over results.

Reductive = eliminating & observing
Additive = adding to & observing
Transformational = switching one thing & observing
Generative = pushing AI to hallucinate
