Image Created. Now... How Do I Animate, Give a Voice, & LipSync?

"There's always more than one way to skin a cat" my dad would tell me. While nothing about that was of interest to me, I believe the idea was everything has multiple ways to be accomplished. Here's 1.

I jumped over a few steps, but I was tagged in a LinkedIn Post by my friend Katya Vettorello, where she shared creating a character from her watercolor sketches and getting “a satisfying stop-motion-style image of one of my characters.”

Give it a face

I used her character as inspiration and created someone similar with Midjourney.

A full-body shot of a happy boy with blue eyes and dark hair, in the style of Laika Studios' stop-motion animation character design. He is wearing an orange striped t-shirt, black jeans, and a jean jacket. The background color is white. His skin tone has some freckles on his face. Pixar illustration style. Full-body.

Give it a voice

Here is where I got the voice… ElevenLabs.

  1. I recorded myself in-app reading (ie - ‘voice acting’) a line of text.
