Midjourney - back to basics • 14 • Parameters
Beginner’s Guide • Exploring the expansive world of Parameters not discussed yet.
This lesson continues parameters from Lesson 3, expanding the library of prompt terms with the remainder of the modifiers and amplifiers. There are some fun and interesting elements in the remainder of the parameter collection - and the first one I am looking at, is one of my favorite… —-tile
.
--tile
The --tile
parameter produces renders that can be used as repeating tiles that creates seamless patterns that can be used for backgrounds, fabrics, wallpapers and textures. To take advantage of this parameter, simply add it to the end of your prompt. There are no additional <value> considerations with this parameter like you have with Chaos
, Image Weight
, and Stylize
…
Here are a couple prompts, renders and resulting seamless patters explored using the --tile
parameter.
Flat design, iconographic, background of popcorn, white and yellow, bold colors, simplified forms --ar 16:9 --tile --style raw
Using the 2nd render, I uploaded it to https://www.pycheung.com/checker/ and was able to see the repeating tile at work as a seamless pattern. There are other applications and websites where you can produce these seamless backdrops, but I found the one above to work well and be an easy solution.
